Chaplaincy is important work as it supports wellbeing at times when people are most vulnerable or in need. Here at YouthCARE, our chaplains have answered the call to serve school communities with care, compassion, respect and service for young people, their families as well as staff.

Earlier in the week our CEO, Tamsyn Cullingford and Government & Community Relations Lead, Ben Moore, visited the Governor of Western Australia, His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM and Mrs Dawson. Discussions ranged across the gamut of work done by West Australian chaplains and it was a delight to meet at Government House to talk about how the positive impacts chaplaincy is having across a number of industries.

“The far-reaching impacts that chaplains have on their communities is unquestionable. It is so excellent to see the support of His Excellency the Honorable Chris Dawson AC APM and Mrs Dawson of this service to our communities. They have a deep understanding of the wellbeing outcomes that chaplains have on students, staff and parents across Western Australia,” said Tamysn Cullingford.

The Governor accepted our invitation to become patron of YouthCARE last year and we are honoured to enjoy His Excellency’s support as we continue to support wellbeing in school communities throughout western Australia.
