YouthCARE, a provider of chaplaincy services in WA public schools, welcomes the announcement by the State Government of public schools selected to receive funding for chaplaincy services.
The decision will continue to enable hundreds of public schools to have access to in-school chaplaincy services for 2017-18.
YouthCARE Chief Executive Officer Stanley Jeyaraj said he was pleased with the announcement.
“We, along with hundreds of school communities throughout the state welcome the funding support of the school chaplaincy program by the State Government,” he said.
“Schools can work confidently with YouthCARE in developing quality chaplaincy services to augment their pastoral care plan.
“Our chaplains play an important role in supporting the social, emotional, spiritual and mental wellbeing of the school community.
“The fact that such a large number of schools applied for funding demonstrates the difference YouthCARE chaplains are making.”
