YouthCARE is currently seeking professionals who can offer this commitment and service to public school communities in both metro and regional areas.
A CVE Volunteer is a trained volunteer who is an active member of a Christian church that affirms the Trinitarian Godhead of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They have also been endorsed by the leaders of that church as a person suitable for this kind of ministry, and they have been screened by the Department of Child Protection and have a current Working With Children Card.
The successful applicant will report to the Chaplaincy Services Team Leader. The YouthCARE Area Chaplain is responsible for the provision of chaplaincy services for an appointed region. This entails appointment and management/supervision of chaplains to meet identified school needs, collaboration with YouthCARE Councils, local churches, businesses and the development of relationships with community stakeholders to raise the profile and increase support of chaplaincy.
