CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Special Religious Education

The WA School Education Act 1999 allows for Special Religious Education to be provided to students in state schools in accordance with provisions made by the regulations.

Christian Religious Education in public schools is provided by volunteer teachers, almost all representing their local Christian churches and working together through a YouthCARE District Council. The focus of this program is on education about Christian values and life skills. DOWNLOAD this brochure for more information. (CRE Brochure Schools 2010)

YouthCARE works through nearly 100 local YouthCARE committees to provide teams of trained and registered teachers who take whole class groups for CRE, using an agreed syllabus, Christian Religious Education, that is published by the ACCESS Ministries in Victoria. An overview of this syllabus is available with this DOWNLOAD. (Parent Overview CRE Syllabus)
